A wet scrubber is used to remove pollutants and odors from process exhaust gases, and to reduce temperatures per emission requirements. Through dissolution in water and chemical treatment the nuisance gas emissions can be mitigated. As chemical costs rise, and as emission standards are becoming more scrutinized, the performance of the wet scrubber is even more critical. The use of ozone technology in many cases may reduce, or completely eliminate, harsh chemicals such as mineral and organic acids, decreasing operational costs and increasing personnel safety.
